Camp Shining Stars, a wonderful non-profit weight-loss camp for youth whose motto is "Where Success Soars!” is the joined efforts and experiences The Healthy Children Foundation and Ira Green, Founder and/or Director for Healthy Kids Camps and Camp Golden Treasures. Enrollment is limited to 100 campers so that all campers will receive the nurturing and support needed to help make lifestyle changes. The staff continues to be available to the parents year round for added support and to continue the educational process.

The co-ed weight-loss camp, for ages 10-18, will be held on the beautiful campus of Barton College in Wilson, NC and supported by a distinguished medical advisory board.

The camp will help children lose weight, raise their self esteem, and learn the tools and habits necessary to lead a healthy lifestyle and reduce their risks for developing chronic diseases later in life.

Mr. Ira Green, former Director of Camp Timber Creek for 5 years, and was the director for the inaugural summer for Camp Golden Treasures at East Carolina University, will now direct Camp Shining Stars. Mr. Green's long experience in running summer camps and programs for overweight youth will ensure your child having great results while having fun.
