DescriptionBack to top
For over 60 years, Camp Skylemar has provided boys, ages 7-15, with:

- Outstanding athletic instruction

- Individualized attention

- A superior staff of role models…coaches, collegiate athletes and teachers

- A warm, nurturing, spirited program with each day packed full of fun

- Over 100 pristine acres of playing fields, courts, indoor and outdoor facilities

- Trickey Pond – clear, clean and perfect for swimming, boating, skiing and fishing

- A secure environment, focused on friendship and understanding.

Each summer, boys from across the US and abroad become life-long friends at Skylemar. Campers represent a variety of backgrounds, interests and athletic abilities. A top-notch staff provides instruction in numerous team and individualized sports, arts and outdoor education. We teach how to compete, while not losing sight of caring for others. We teach boys to win graciously, and lose with honor. They learn to be the best they can be; how to improve golf swings, get up water skiing, make foul shots and perform on stage. We celebrate effort, which builds confident, strong, positive boys.

Undoubtedly, boys learn best, and are the happiest and most motivated when in small groups. This is why enrollment is limited to a number large enough for competitive play, yet small enough for one-on-one private instruction. Most importantly, our size assures that everyone knows everyone at Skylemar.

Campers learn to get along with and care for others, to make good decisions, to be accountable and to eagerly undertake responsibility. At Skylemar, they become well-rounded young men, with safe opportunities to try new things. They learn to say, "I can".

At SKYLEMAR, we understand boys.

We celebrate their energy and desire to have fun! We recognize that boys need to be challenged and encouraged to try new things, but always with the support of a guiding hand.

Each summer day is packed with excitement and adventure. The schedule is built around a combination of structure and choice. Boys are inspired to try new activities, while also having the opportunity to specialize in what they like best.

School cultivates intellect, but summer is the time for a boy to develop skills necessary for a lifetime of success. Skylemar instills self-confidence, independence, and leadership ability. Campers return home with a collection of genuine friends, more independent and more self-assured than ever before.

Skylemar is a COMMUNITY...each boy belongs, is respected and treasured.
