Camp Sumatanga
Summer Address:

The 1700-acre camp stretches along a valley in St. Clair County, nestled against Chandler Mountain. It includes a 55-acre lake, hiking trails, a low ropes course, fire rings, RV hookups, tent camping sites, playgrounds, a pool, basketball and tennis courts, rustic cabins, a lodge with dorm style rooms, and motel-style retreat rooms and meeting spaces for groups of up to 1,200 people. An open air chapel and cross that lights up at night look down on the valley and are accessible by foot or by car.

Summer camp programming includes one-night overnight camping for mothers and children ages 4-8, day camps for children ages 6-8, and overnight week-long camps for children and youths ages 9-18. Our environmental education programming is available year-round for all ages. As well, we host several guest camps such as Special Camps for youth and adults with significant cognitive disabilities.
