Timanous is located in Southern Maine, just 25 miles from Portland. 125 boys, ages 7 to 15 spend 7 or 3 1/2 weeks having fun while learning more about themselves, getting along with others and being part of a close community. They return home more independent, self-confident, and tolerant.
This summer, campers will come from 22 states and 11 countries.
Campers choose from a variety of activities including sailing, canoeing, kayaking, water-skiiing,soccer, riflery, tennis, archery, lacrosse, wood working, pottery, handicrafts. We also have a strong wilderness and camping trip program.
Our small size assures that we know every camper by name and are able to closely monitor their progress.
Most of our counselors were Timanous campers themselves. We have a very high return rate of both campers and counselors.
A Timanous parent summed it up with these words: "For us, Timanous is an investment in our son - an investment in character, maturity and his passage to adulthood."
Finding the right camp is a very important decision. We would love to speak with you about your son to see if Timanous would be a good fit for him. Please check out our website and contact us.If you are in Maine during the summer, please come see us in action.
