Camp Walt Whitman is nestled in the White Mountains of New Hampshire on crystal-clear Lake Armington.

Camp Walt Whitman is fortunate to attract particularly nice kids and a strong, motivated staff. Our campers are encouraged to be active participants, willing to stretch themselves to try new things. We provide excellent instruction to help our campers improve in all of the physical skills at camp, while focusing on the care and attention that help them to develop their potential as individuals and as members of the group.

Walt Whitman is a community that encourages friendship, leadership and the ability to make good choices. Herein lies the spirit and warmth that is incomparable in a summer camp!

Walt Whitman is a special place that stays in the hearts of our campers throughout their lives.

The counselors and specialty staff at Walt Whitman serve as positive role models, encouraging and supporting campers to stretch themselves. Whether learning new skills in sports, aquatics, arts or outdoor living, campers thrive in an environment of FUN, GOOD HUMOR AND OPTIMISM.

Each of our program areas is led by a specialist with professional training and experience. Many of our athletic staff are coaches and teachers who offer expert instruction in an atmosphere of fun and safety. Two full-time, college age cabin counselors devote all their energies every day to the care and well being of their campers. Our values and commitment are ingrained in every person who works with children at our camp.

We recognize that we are partners in your child's development. Through our consistent participation and interaction with each group, we know every child's needs. This may mean noticing when a child needs a hug or the kind of reassurance that you would give if you were there.

Our "hands-on" approach, dedication to excellence and belief in accountability are the cornerstones of the mutual trust and respect that we establish among children, staff and parents.
