Our mission statement is the foundation upon which life at Wenonah is based:
Providing opportunities that develop a healthy respect and appreciation for one's self, for others and for the natural world.
Wenonah offers a one month, traditional, modified co-ed Summer Camp experience for 7-17 year olds, as well as two week options (which parallel half of the one month experience). Camp is located in the gorgeous Muskoka region of Ontario, only two hours north of Toronto. Wenonah sits on 200 acres of land, adjacent to Clear Lake and Saw Lake. Camp Wenonah is home to the Camp Wenonah Centre for Outdoor Education during the Spring and Fall, and is also affiliated with the Shikoku Canadian Global Camp in Takamatsu, Japan. Wenonah is proud to host Camp Jumoke for two weeks each August.
While at Camp, each Wenonah camper is placed in a cabin group with others of the same age. A counsellor lives with each group of campers and supervises all facets of the Camp experience. Each day, campers have four PIC (Personal Individual Choice) periods where they can select activities of a specific, personal interest. Time is also set aside each day to enjoy cabin choice programs with options as limitless as the interests of the campers in each cabin.
A special Introductory Period designed for first-time campers is held at the end of the summer. Campers remain with their counsellors and cabin groups for a taste of many different Camp activities and general Camp life.
