The Canadian Guitar Retreat is an adult weekend guitar getaway. It’s a place to learn in a non-competitive environment with some of the finest Guitarists anywhere! Daytime workshops, evening concerts, great food and a fantastic time. A chance to get away from it all and focus on our love of Music and the Guitar. As a participant you receive four-2 hour long workshops. One with each instructor. Each instructor will also perform a concert, these are private concerts for retreat participants. Students who wish, may also perform at the “Student Open Stage” on Saturday. Arrangements for a private, one on one lesson with a teacher can be made. Please sign up soon, space is limited and depends on instructor availability. The cost of a private lesson is not covered by the camp tuition. This fee must be paid in cash directly to the instructor. Please contact the CGR for more details. The camp is being held at Potter’s Creek Youth Camp just outside of Turkey point Ontario. It’s located at 546 Turkey Point Road (#10) south of #24 on the left hand side (East) just before the provincial park. If you need additional directions please contact us. Turkey Point is a small cottage community situated on Lake Erie. It has a beautiful beach, great swimming, wonderful views. You will find some restaurants and shops there as well. Potter’s Creek is a well equipped camp that has several buildings and bunk houses. It’s situated on large wooded acreage next to the Provincial park. There is a main hall where concerts and workshops will be held, a dinning hall for meals and 2 large bunk-houses for sleeping. Each bunk-house can accommodate up to 25 people and has excellent washroom & shower facilities. If you do not wish to sleep in a bunk-house there is the option of setting up camp for yourself. There is ample room to pitch your own tents or bring a small Trailer/Motor-home. Please note: there are no electrical or water hook-ups on site.
