The Children's Museum of the Arts offers group visits to the Museum for schools, hospitals, day camps and community centers throughout the year on Mondays and Tuesdays. Upon arrival your group is greeted by one or two CMA Teaching Artists who lead you through a 90 minute hands-on workshop. First the CMA Teaching Artist(s) do a brief overview of the Master Artist associated with the chosen workshop. Then they begin working either independently or collaboratively on creating their own masterpiece in our Open Art Studio! As time permits, the Teaching Artists wrap up with an opportunity for the students to share their work with the group. All of our workshops cover New York State Standards for the Visual Arts (1, 2, 3, and 4) and ELA 1, 3, and 4. Book a visit to CMA and watch your children create!
