Education Unlimited offers multiple versions of the College Admission Prep Camp (CAPC) that covers SAT Prep, Personal Statement Writing and College Counseling for students entering grades 11-12.
Along with test prep, students get hours of one-on-one consulting with expert writing instructors to discuss topics for the Personal Statement, the structure, style and grammatical aspects of the essay and go over drafts and revisions together in individual sessions. Students also meet one on one with a College Counselor. The counseling component of CAPC helps students identify schools best suited for them, and covers the development of time management and interviewing skills.
At the end of the original CAPC 11-day session, students will have completed over (40) hours of test prep, completed (3) full-length practice exams, (1) personal statement ready for submission and (2) one-on-one meetings with college counselors.
CAPC Intensive is a longer, 18-day version of our CAPC program. An even more in-depth version of our CAPC curriculum, students at CAPC Intensive will: get over (50) hours of SAT prep, take (5) full-length practice SAT tests, compose (3) personal statement essays, and complete (4) personalized counseling sessions. At CAPC Intensive, students also complete (3) college tours in the area and can relax with a full day white-water rafting excursion!
The CAPC Day Camp is a 10 day session offered at Palo Alto High School. By the end of this session, students will have completed (30) hours of test prep, (2) practice exams, (1) personal statement and (2) one-on-one meetings with college counselors. An admissions tour of Stanford University is also included.
CAPC Resort at Club Med is a 14-day program that combines both a luxury vacation and test prep! The resort is located in Port St. Lucie, Florida along the lush St. Lucie river. By the end of this session, not only will campers have experienced fun activities at the resort such as the Circus School and beach volleyball, they will also have completed over (40) hours of test prep, (3) practice exams, (1) personal statement, and (2) personalized counseling sessions.
