Communication Station for Kids Preps Children for Life
CSFK offers the Be A Reporter program and the Advanced CSFK Talk Show program.
CSFK Be A Reporter Program for children entering grades 4th 8th is a fun, action-packed journalism class that builds confidence and essential communication skills that last a lifetime!
CSFK class builds life skills in written and verbal communication and computers. Participants learn and practice Internet research, news and feature story structure and writing, word usage, vocal exercises, enunciation, pronunciation, projection and tonal variation.Exciting instructional games reinforce skills not boring drills. Ideas fly around the room when excited students discuss topics and creative ideas.
Students write a feature story and report their findings in a televised segment that is aired on your local television station.
CSFK Talk Show Program takes students to the next level of communication sophistication by producing a Talk Show. Students work in groups, learning negotiation, problem solving and interpersonal communication skills all in a natural setting. They do all the research and writing as done in the Be A Reporter program, but this time there are no cue cards. They learn their material and speak conversationally with the other TV Show Hosts about their topic. Participating in the Be A Reporter program at least once is a prerequisite to being in the Talk Show program.
Empower your child with life skills and fun!
