FUNdamentals! middle school only June 13-17 or July 11-15 (two different weeks available) 9 am - 12 pm Art FUNdamentals puts the fun into the elements and principles of design through creative projects. Students aquire or advance their knowledge of the visual art traditions passed on from the masters and gain access to the keys and tools of modern critical expression. We don't want to spoil the surprise. This class was created for those who march to the beat of their own drum. MIX it UP! middle school only June 13-17 or July 11-15 (two different weeks available) 1 pm -4 pm Be a jack of all trades just like Leonardo Da Vinci! This camp is all about the variety! We stir it up with different mediums and creative projects. This class is all about making some crafty and wacky art! Portrait Workshop I! open to middle and high school June 20-24 9 am - 12pm Study the face through step-by-step instruction based on anatomy, perspective, and physics. This class is for all technical levels and is designed to have you drawing portraits by the end of the week. Portrait Workshop II! open to middle and high school June 20-24 1 pm - 4 pm Learn to paint a realistic portrait based on key principles of color and value. This personally developed formula is very unique and successful, and you won't find it in any book! This camp works as a great combination with Portrait Workshop I or all by it's self. This is an intensive week designed to really help you paint like a pro. Middle School Portfolio Preparation! June 27-July 1 9 am -12 pm This camp will prepare you for the future while having fun. Create a concrete group of work catagorized to exemplify your strengths and learn how to critique. This camp can help to prepare you for interviews to art related schools or just for experience. High School / College Prep & Portfolio Workshop! middle or high school June 27-July1 1 pm -4 pm This camp will strengthen your body of work by organizing existing art and creating new art. The portfolio prep will introduce the expectations of art schools. The week will finish with a visit from a college representative to critique portfolios and build relationships. This course is designed to prepare you for your college application. Life Drawing Camp! one or two weeks available middle or high school July 18th-22nd one week only / July 25th-29th additional week 12 pm -4 pm (this camp hours are extended due to content and prices slightly vary) This class is modeled after prestigious college life drawing courses. This intensive camp covers learning to draw human anatomy from a live clothed model. We begin with the skeletal structure meanwhile developing composition and harmony. After learning the skeletal structure, we develop the body using three dimensional axis lines and geometry, simultaniously creating drama and balance. This course is so rewarding! You will amaze yourself. (Models wear bathing suits at all times.)
