Campers will identify and package evidence at a crime scene, use DNA technology to solve crime, participate in a mock trial and use leading edge laboratory equipment. We provide hands-on forensic activities, such as: blood spatter, fingerprinting, DNA analysis, skeletal remain analysis and footwear and tire impressions. Campers will gain first-hand knowledge from professionals working in the field of Forensic Science plus get to wear a bunny suit and use a metal detector! The goal of our Forensic Science camp is to provide high school students with an environment that will allow them to learn about DNA technology, forensic science and related social issues. The learning framework will be group-directed problem solving.
