Deerkill is an intimate camp that offers a warm and supportive environment on a beautiful suburban campus. Our group leaders, the counselors who are with our children throughout the day, are mature adults, not college students. Deerkill offers a superb swimming program, team sports and a dozen specialty programs in the creative and performing arts.

Our campus has 15 developed acres including a theater studio and a dozen specialty buildings. Our large enclosed basketball court, gymnastics building and three mini gyms allow us to offer a full program even on rainy days. Our campers ages range from 3 through 14 and come to camp for a minimum of 2 weeks.

The swim program, one of Deerkill's greatest assets, is in heated pools with one counselor to every three children in the water (and one counselor to every two children in our three and four year-old groups).

All transportation is by air conditioned minibus. Hot lunches, towels, supplies, trips and other "extras" are included, and no tipping is allowed. Families of our campers may use the facilities on the weekends at no additional charge. Deerkill is a third-generation family business and has been owned and operated by the Rhodes family since 1958 - we are celebrating our 50th Anniversary in 2008! We encourage parents to visit camp while it is in operation, and we encourage communication between our group leaders and parents.
