Is the place for fun and adventure, it provides vital educationalexperiences for children to learn more about their diabetes. The Day Campsite has playing fields, play ground equipment and indoor activities such asarts and crafts, group games and education. Staffing includes nurses,dietitians and caring counselors who are devoted to providing a safeenvironment. Day Campers (ages 4 - 12) enter camp daily with a sense ofanticipation, and return home in the afternoon full of self-confidence andfun. The program is designed to provide continuous development for thecamper who has been to camp before or for the newly diagnosed. Mostimportantly, Day Camp is one of the few places where children have theopportunity for group interaction with other children their own age, whoalso have diabetes. Day Camp runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
