Students will focus on different concepts and techniques each week: 

Painting Learn all about color and how to mix a pallete; Construct your own brushes and painting tools; Explore action painting, splatter painting, finger painting, doodleing, and abstract painting; Learn to paint from observation and paint landscapes directly from nature.

Drawing & Mixed Media - Experiment with exciting new drawing tools and techniques: learn to use real fountain pens using pen & ink, get messy blending charcoal, shade and smear with oil pastels... and lots more!  Students will go outside to draw from nature, experiment with doodleing and abstract art, draw with string and glue, and learn how to draw what they see by studying the still life.  Mixed Media art will be explored and students will learn different ways to incorporate collage elements into their work.

Art & Science - This exciting new program explores the many connections between art and science!  Explore, experiment and discover during this week of awesome art and science activities.  Create micro art and look at it under a microscope!  Explore nature and collect specimens to study or include in your art.  This camp is for the creative explorer.

Sculpture - Students with an interest in 3-D art and building will have a blast this week.  They will learn woodworking techniques (sanding, filing, woodburning) and build their own wood sculpture.  Architectural models will be made from cardboard and wood.  Students will use clay to sclupt and mould their own imaginative creatures and animals!

Puppet Workshop - Students will design and create their own puppets during this playful week of camp.  They will work together in small groups to write a short story or play for their puppets to perform.  Students will design their own characters and scenery, put their story together and perform it for the group on the final day.  Lots of fun!
