Capable, motivated kindergarten through eighth grade students can take up to twelve uniquely designed classes in math, science, history, entrepreneurship, technology, the arts and more, during Education Soaring’s 2009 Summer Program. Six weeklong sessions will be held from July 13 to August 21. Students may take just one half-day class for five days or register for two different classes a week for up to six weeks. The full-day program begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. Extended care is available.
An Expert faculty skilled in tailoring small classes to the interests and academic levels of students using state-of-the-art technology and equipment, allows students to extend their knowledge and skills beyond state and national norms. Children at all grade levels will learn not just by listening and observing, but by engaging in hands-on exploration, development and creation. Teachers such as Joni Jones, past President of the NW Herptile Keepers Association, Jim and Steve Anderson, renowned Portland science teachers and OMSI curricula writers, virtually guarantee another fabulous summer of reptile handling, chemistry experiments, movie making, and more.
Education Soaring’s new close-in SW Portland location is easily accessible by car and mass transit from most points in the greater metro area. For the first time, Education Soaring students will be able to take frequent field trips to places like nearby universities, museums, wetlands, businesses, television stations, etc.!
The greatest gift you can give your child is to prepare him or her for a lifetime. To nourish your child with love and knowledge that will sustain for decades to come. To give every opportunity to achieve happiness and success. Education Soaring is committed to helping children expand their horizons and explore their unique potential for learning so that they may receive a lifetime of self-earned rewards and happiness.
