Community Music School Announces 2006 Camp Dates!
The Michigan State University Community Music School (CMS) has announced the dates of the 4th Annual Eric ‘RicStar’ Winter Music Therapy Camp!
Camp honors 12-year-old Eric Winter, a seven-year music therapy client from DeWitt who passed away in 2003 from complications of cerebral palsy. RicStar’s camp welcomes individuals of all ages with special needs and their siblings. For the past 3 years, more than 65 campers enjoyed opportunities for a wide range of musical expression and positive peer interactions in a welcoming, inclusive camp setting focused on ability.
Dates are Tuesday, June 13th through Thursday, June 15th at the Community Music School, 841 Timberlane (off Burcham) in East Lansing. Adults and adolescent groups begin at 9:00 a.m.; the children’s groups begin at 10:00 a.m. The day ends at 3:00 p.m. Costs are per family: $125 for one participant, $200 for two participants or $300 for three or more participants. Scholarships are available. Registrations will be accepted until camp reaches capacity.
