(Group 1)
Ages: 6 - 12
Dates: July 5th – 9th
August 2nd – 6th
Focus: Our focus with this age range is primarily on hand-eye coordination, discipline, teamwork and self defense against stronger attackers (bullies, kidnappers, etc). This age group will not be working with weapons, but will learn all the bare-handed techniques and skills that the older group will learn such as sparring, grappling, escapes and more.
(Group 2)
Ages: 13 - 18
Dates: July 19th – 23rd
August 16th – 20th
Focus: The older group will have a little more work cut out for them this year, and will be training to defend against common weapons such as knives, baseball bats, sticks and chains. There has been an increase in violent knife assaults at high-schools, and so this training will help bring that awareness to the students. They will also be learning the bare bones of the "Real World Martial Arts" system as taught by the studio founder, Steve Beecroft: learning to overcome fear of confrontation and use their bodies in a relaxed but decisive manner during an assault.
Times & Days:
Monday - Friday
8:30am to 3:30pm
