Flootapalooza is an opportunity for flute players of junior high and high school age to learn, rehearse, and perform together in a non-competitive setting. The focus of the week will be small ensembles (flute trios, quartets, and choirs), culminating in a concert at the conclusion of the week. Flutists will also participate in elective courses, such as basic and advanced flute performance, auxiliary flute performance (piccolo, alto flute, bass flute), music theory, improvisation (jazz), extended flute technique, performance anxiety, and more.
