Foreign Language Immersion Camp for Children

This camp is for children in rising grades 3-6 and will be held from 9-12 daily. Campers are immersed in language and cultural experiences on an imaginary journey they take to French-speaking Louisiana or Spanish-speaking Ecuador. Campers enjoy many adventures during the week as they "travel" to different locations and learn about traditions, sample foods, make crafts, and participate in music and storytelling activities. The camp will culminate in a Mardi Gras celebration in Louisiana and a visit to Otavalo in Ecuador to a folkloric music event. Campers will also go to an authentic market.
