Frost - Science, leadership and outdoor fun 5 out of 5 stars

Parent who wants their son to grow in confidence

Reviewed by: Jacoline, 2009-08-05 14:46:55 (Modified: 2009-08-05 00:00:00)

Frost Camp is a hidden gem. First of all the facilities are comfortable and the food is great. My son is sixteen and as a parent I wanted him to get ahead with his science course load for Grade 11. Frost offered interesting looking courses but I had no idea how much fun my son would have. The teachers took theory and made it practical. He also got to do counselor in training where he had scheduled times to take care of the younger children. My son is usually introverted and reserved but at Frost he found a place full of great people and teachers who were interested in his questions. He embraced the leadership training and I could see how much his interpersonal skills developed. His self confidence really grew and, as a parent, that is amazing to see. I credit the Frost staff who plan out the weeks carefully so there is outdoors activities, plays, fun games and an interactive program. If your teen is interested in science in the least, this is the place to go to bring the subject alive. Quelph University is involved and the level of education is evident. My son now realizes that he is a science minded person and will be following that in university. I would highly recommend Frost to all parents.
