This highly intensive 3 week camp for ages 5-12 helps campers better navigate their social world by offering daily opportunities to practice, modify and monitor their nonverbal communication and verbal interaction skills. The program builds confidence, provides guided peer interactions for problem solving, self-management, negotiation, as well as, cognitive training and sensory integration skills. "Get Social" runs from 9:00-3:00 with after-care as an add-on.

"Get Social" is best for children with AD/HD, Learning Anxiety, Non-Verbal Learning Disorder, Mild Apraxia, Asperger's and Mild Developmental Disabilities.

There are two "Get Social" sessions. Session One is from June 11-29. The second session is from July 9-27, 2007. The "counselors" are occupational, speech/language, physical, art and music therapists, as well as, learning specialists. There are also CITs (Counselors-In-Training). These are 7th-12th grade students who have an excellent awareness of social skills themselves and provide excellent role models of social skill behaviors. The camp also includes reading and cognitive training within the day to keep skills sharp. Each session cost is $1295.
