At Green River Preserve we believe bright, curious, and creative young people are the future leaders of the world. We believe summer camp is the best place for developing these leaders. We believe Green River Preserve is the summer camp that will do it.
Green River Preserve, a coed summer camp for the bright, curious and creative…encourages campers to seek adventure. Located on a 3,400 acre wildlife preserve in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, the preserve serves as a portal to nature for Green River Preserve campers. Campers crawl into caves, polar bear waterfalls, snorkel in rivers and creeks, track wildlife, explore archaeological sites and climb mountains. Fun, non-competitive activities such as fly fishing, canoeing, pottery, rock climbing, crafts, music, camping, and hiking provide campers with healthy and rewarding ways to spend their leisure time.
The Green River Preserve staff is an exceptional group of people dedicated to making a difference in the lives of their campers. Campers feel connected and accepted at GRP; they are allowed to be the “best me” they can be and that feels right, good, and safe.
