Green River Preserve
The Green River Preserve is a magnificent 3,400 acre private wildlife preserve in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville, North Carolina. The Preserve is also a very special natural science summer camp for rising 2nd through 12th grade gifted and highly motivated students.
Our camp is co-ed, non-competitive and purposefully small. We use wilderness skills, creative arts, and the exhilaration of outdoor fun and discovery to inspire young minds. Our campers enjoy the social and physical benefits of a nurturing summer camp, and the joy and wonder of hands-on field studies in natural science. The opportunity for Green River Preserve campers to live, learn, and play with a peer group of gifted and motivated students is profound, uplifting and unforgettable.
