A three-week camp in autobiographical writing and performance for teenage girls aged 13-16, culminating in a public sharing of the girls’ original performance works. Girls get creative through writing exercises and theatre games, participate in workshops by guest artists, and gain self-esteem through self-expression and performance. Grrl Action’s mission: Helping girls find voice and vision through performance and the arts. Grrl Action is a program of The Rude Mechanicals, Austin’s award-winning theatre collective.
