Handi Kids
Handi Kids is a non-profit, therapeutic recreation facility for children and young adults with physical, developmental and cognitive disabilities. Handi Kids provides therapeutic recreation to hundreds of individuals on a year-round basis through our Summer Day Camp, Saturday Camp, School Vacation Camp, After School, Therapeutic Horseback Riding, Carriage Driving, Hippotherapy, Stable Management, Boy Scout & Girl Scout Troops, Teen programs, and Special Event programming.
Handi Kids is like no other place. There aren't many places where a child, regardless of the nature or severity of their disability, can laugh, grow and learn alongside siblings and friends. Not may places where children of all abilities are welcome regardless of their ability to pay. Not may places that offer high quality therapeutic recreation, extraordinary care and a beautiful, year-round 20 acre campus. More than 1,000 children from over 80 communities in the Boston area enjoy year-round activities at Handi Kids. Ranging in age from 4 to 22, our children are diagnosed with one or more of 30 different disabilities. These children are often not accepted into other programs because of the level of care required by their disabilities. At Handi Kids, every program and activity is designed to remove barriers to childhood development and help every child learn, laugh and reach his or her individual potential.
