Happels Barn Horsemanship Summer Camp
Summer Address:

Happel’s Barn is dedicated to creating a safe and fun environment for learning about life with horses. We emphasize teamwork and strive to build confident horsemen and women. Each camper will participate in a daily riding lesson on one of our camp horses. Campers will also be responsible for the daily care of their lesson mounts, including feeding, grooming, tacking, bathing, and stable management.
After lessons have concluded and all chores have been completed, campers will watch demonstrations and discuss daily topics that include:
- Show Grooming/Braiding
- Bandaging
- Equine Anatomy and Breeds
- Disciplines Within Riding
- Ground Training
- Equipment Care and Maintenance
- Realities of Horse Ownership
Campers will also have the opportunity to play horsey games that reinforce what they learn.
Arts and Craft activities will take place daily.
