DescriptionBack to top

The Horses 'N' Heroes program is unique in the Palm Beach community. Students who participate in the program experience physical, emotional and mental rewards. While all students learn a valuable lesson in compassion from the unique relationship formed with a horse, children with mental or emotional disabilities can gain confidence, patience and self-esteem. For example:
Profoundly shy children find themselves able to more easily relate to others through the common love of animals.
Autistic children are able to form unusually deep bonds with horses.
Children with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) improve concentration skills.
Hearing impaired children can compete at local horse shows on an equal level with other riders.
