Ballet, Jazz and Modern Dance. For intermediate and advanced dancers. Students receive intense instruction from highly experienced and professional performers and teachers. Class placement is dertermined by ability and experience. In addition to technique classes in ballet, modern and jazz, there are classes in musical theatre and tap. Students dance 5-7 hours per day. Evenings feature lectures, video demonstrations, discussions and body conditioning. Each two-week session culminates in a demonstration-performance. This workshop is for students 13+ with at least three years of ballet training.

At Idyllwild, we’re here to educate the whole you—the artist and the scholar. So that means every weekday morning, starting at 8:00 AM, you’ll be taking a range of academic coursework. Our academic curriculum provides a strong college-preparatory program, challenging you to think critically, to creatively blend your intellectual and artistic perspectives, and to discover a passion for life-long learning. As a result, our graduates are well prepared to enter the leading colleges and universities—as they often do.
