Idyllwild Arts Summer Program - Music
The Summer Program, formerly known as ISOMATA, is best known for its music programs. Intensive two-week programs in band, chamber music, choir, jazz, orchestra and piano are offered according to age and ability. Auditions are required for chamber music, choir, orchestra and piano. The final concert of the Summer Program takes place at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.
At Idyllwild, we’re here to educate the whole you—the artist and the scholar. So that means every weekday morning, starting at 8:00 AM, you’ll be taking a range of academic coursework. Our academic curriculum provides a strong college-preparatory program, challenging you to think critically, to creatively blend your intellectual and artistic perspectives, and to discover a passion for life-long learning. As a result, our graduates are well prepared to enter the leading colleges and universities—as they often do.
