Independent Thinkers takes a very creative approach to teaching summer camps and workshops, one that emphasizes hands-on learning and active involvement in the learning process. We want children to enjoy themselves and we guarantee that every workshop will be a uniquely fun experience.

A Work of Art 
Join us as we learn about famous artists and composers. We'll learn interesting facts about the artists' lives, the different periods in which they lived, and the types of art which they created. Each day, we'll discover a new artist and then try their methods and techniques ourselves by creating our own artwork! 
4 Days: Mon-Thur, 9am-12pm, July 12th- July 15th
Ages: 8-14 Cost: $160 + $10 materials fee

Tour of Asia - All aboard! We're heading to Asia! Each day, we will visit a new country and learn about the people and the culture. We'll explore the land, discover the popular music and art, sample the food, and hear the local lore and legends. All young travelers are welcome!

Science Extravaganza: Engineers to the Rescue!
We Will be learning about different types of engineers and how they contribute to our world. Student will learn about a new kind of engineer each day and then become the engineers themselves by building their own structures and simple machines.

Creativity Unleashed! The Power of the Written Word
Join us as we explore the many facets of creative writing! Students will enjoy using their imaginations to write short stories and character sketches, while learning valuable writing skills. We will delve into   establishing strong paragraphs and sentences, inventing believable characters, and creating vivid descriptions and settings.

Brain Power: How to Learn Information and Keep It!
"I have a test on Friday and I still haven't started studying! I don't even know where to start!" Have you ever encountered this dilemma? Do you have a poor studying system or no studying system at all? Find out how you learn best and discover a personal studying system that works for you. We will explore different study methods and concepts, including note-taking skills, memory techniques, and using your textbook to your advantage.
