Youth Innate Horsemanship Camp 
For girls between 12-17 years old.
Girls outside the age bracket may qualify based on maturity and experience.

This camp is dedicated for horse crazy girls old wanting to immerse themselves in a more intensive week of learning horsemanship skills and a gain valuable riding experience in a relaxing and fun camp experience. This camp is for girls with experience riding, comfortable at walk, trot and canter and have an understanding of basic horsemanship skills, whether self taught or formally trained.

All week campers are involved all aspects of their horses from caring, training to riding and working with their horses daily, plus
 time in the barn learning horse management and practical theory. Campers enjoy a broad range of horse skills and experiences. Each camper can learn in a safe and friendly, one on 
one setting. Sessions are set up for both English and Western - and everyone rides and participates at their skill level. Sessions and topics throughout camp may include an introduction to the following:

Practical Classroom Theory and Management Skills – Classroom time includes safety while handing and working and riding horses, demonstrations, videos, reading material and practical theory from handling horses to training and riding. From barn to horse care, 
learn the skills it takes to be an everyday partner to your horse. Learn basic equine first aid (pain detection, pain prevention, what's abnormal and what’s normal (+vital signs chart), wounds, bandaging, lameness, digestive emergencies to at home solutions and more).

Roundpen and Liberty Skills - Develop a better partnership with your horse from the ground up, connecting the mind with body and understand how horses communicate through the language of horses. Further develop you connection at liberty with your horse, learn how to communicate with just your body language and lead your horse through obstacles and gain trust.

Ground Work - Develop a better partnership with your horse from the ground up, learn how to warm your horse up before you even ride, create a willing partner before stepping in the saddle.

Flatwork - Learn how a proper warm-up and cool down to riding in
rhythm and balance in harmony with your horse, we cover all the basics to encourage good horsemanship in the saddle.

Jumping - For those who have never jumped, we'll begin with 
the basics over cross rails and low fences. For those who have a bit of experience, we'll raise the jumps a little higher, from counting strides to learning distances,
practicing courses, turns and setting up your own course.

Gaming - Learn how to set up a barrel pattern or poles, learn the basics of a good turn and setting your horse up to be balanced. We also have a wide variety of riding and in hand games! Games designed to teach everything you need to know about horses and riding!

Trail Riding and Cattle Work – Whether your riding the range gathering cattle and checking on the herds or sorting cattle in a pen, learn about cattle and herd instincts while working your horse with cattle. 

Obstacle Course Races - The "Extreme Cowboy Race" is a timed race with obstacles from tarps, bridges to water and jumps designed to get the horse and rider out of their traditional comfort zone and test the communication and horsemanship of each team based on a set of five criteria; horsemanship, cadence, control, horse's attitude, and overall execution.

At the end of the week, campers will have the opportunity show in the classes of their choice, and participate in the musical ride. Campers get to make 
their horses look their best! It's fun cleaning the horses up and getting show ready! Everyone rides 
at their comfort & skill level for the show.

 

When not in a lesson or caring for their horses campers can enjoy many summer fun activities with new found friends from volleyball, badminton, croquet, horseshoes, watch movies, swimming in our pool or to the beach, hiking, canoeing and kayaking, equestrian yoga, enjoy a home cooked meal and of course most days are complete with a campfire. Our camps also include teambuilding and leadership activities that provide a unique opportunity to develop and enhance personal and leadership skills. We will learn to collaborate, communicate, problem solving, take risks and work together all while having great fun and making those camp experiences that last a lifetime!

We love seeing our campers and their partnership with their horses grow during camp and even year after year as they often return for summers to come! It's the perfect camp for the horse crazy girl who loves 
horses and improving their horsemanship!

Junior Innate Horsesmanship Camp
For girls between 8-12 years old.
Girls outside the age bracket may qualify based on maturity and experience.

This camp is dedicated for girls between 8-12 years olds who are comfortable around horses and want to learn all about horses and horsemanship skills form basics to more advanced. Campers are welcome to ride both english and western during
the week, depending on what we are doing in lessons.

All week campers are involved in all aspects of their horses from caring, training to riding and working with their horses daily, plus
time in the barn learning horse management and practical theory. Campers enjoy a broad range of horse skills and experiences. Each camper can learn in a safe and friendly, one on 
one setting.

The emphasism is on having fun at this camp, while at the same time helping our campers to learn more about horses and everything that goes with the lifestyle here at the ranch. Campers will have a choice riding 
western or english. Daily lessons teach from the ground up and progress at each campers own comfortable pace. Throughout the lessons whether english or western, campers will learn how to walk, trot & canter (if able) 
with good posture and form, learning horsemanship skills and understanding their horses along the way.

At the end of the week, campers will have the opportunity show in the classes of their choice, and participate in the musical ride. Campers get to make 
their horses look their best! It's fun cleaning the horses up and getting show ready! Everyone rides
at their comfort & skill level for the show.
