Located just 35 miles from Sun Valley Idaho, the Jevne Ranch is a summer ranch for boys & girls where learning adolescents can gain first-hand experience on a 425 acre working ranch. Started by Darlene Jevne in 1992, Jevne Ranch was another vision of the founder of St. Christopher Academy, Burien, Washington. The Jevne ranch allows students the opportunity to improve their self-esteem, develop social skills, and become responsible young adults. Students will develop a sense of pride and accomplishment as they master the skills necessary to work with animals, water lines, wheel lines and fence lines.

The summer program for students (ages 13-18) gives teenagers who love the outdoors an opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge in the "real world". The cornerstone of this program is to instill a sense of responsibility and leadership by continually challenging the students in an academic and outdoor western setting. Through hands-on learning methods, teenagers learn personal responsibility, teamwork, goal-setting, and problem-solving as they gain a new prospective on standard school subjects. In the process, the Summer Adventure "ranch hands" gain self-esteem and self-confidence while learning skills for improving academic performance.
