This camp will provide quality instruction in Middle eastern dance with a focus on the traditional tribal intent of belly dance. Girls will dance together for joy and fun. This form of dance is improvisational and requires the girls to work together as a team. This art is not about the perfect body type. It is about gaining confidence and self esteem through the dance. The girls will learn traditional drum rhythms and use finger cymbals. There will be a craft component where we will create our own costume items and at the end of the week there will be a recital experience provided. We will dance and create.
