DescriptionBack to top

The Junior Filmmaker Academy is offering two one-week summer camps which will introduce students to styles and techniques used when creating short films. Students will develop an understanding of film both on and off screen while creating several original short films with the assistance of the instructors. They will help write the screenplay, operate the camera, direct, act, costume, decorate the set, and much, much more. Through the camp, students will become well versed in all the elements of film production while maintaining a positive, outgoing attitude that will stress the fun that can be had in the film industry.

There will be short screenings of the campers’ work at the conclusion of both camps at the Box. The students will receive a DVD of all of the short films at the screening.

The students need to bring their lunches. We will provide the cameras, equipment, and props.
