Outing program
Most of the activities take place within the CAMP zone or surrounding beaches. However, we have planned some trips for you in search of adventures: Trip to the Rincon de la Vieja Parks, Santa Rosa, Arenal, Barra Honda, among others. These parks have attractions such as caves, forests, rivers, volcanoes and footpaths that you will be able to cross during the CAMP season. In addition you will be able to do Canopy between the great trees of the zone, and you will visit a mountain top from which you will be able to view the forest and the sea in the company of hundreds of dragonflies. You will be able to participate in these trips without any additional cost.
Accommodations and Headquarters
The Guanacaste Country Day School is a school with ample green zones and excellent facilities, especially for sports. When you pass through the main entrance you find a Mexican style construction, where the classrooms, office, library, computer room and dining room are situated, surrounded all by ample halls that create an ample green zone. From here a path leads you to the dorm area and the sports zone that includes a covered gymnasium, a swimming pool and a soccer field surrounded by a small Forest.
The CAMP is in the middle of a 160 acres native forest over 100 years old, cultivated with the native tree of Guanacaste that makes this zone an ideal place for adventure and the enjoyment of the outstanding Costa Rican fauna and flora. This forest is included inside the Conservacionista Project Coast Emerald, one of most important of the country and of all Central America.
The CAMP accounts with 30 cabins, each one with capacity for 8 accommodated people in bunk beds. In each room you will find a private bathroom with hot water, A/C and space for clothes storage.
During the July season, you can enjoy a very nice temperature since the climate of the place is dry averaging 25º C. However, during this time the last days of winter in Costa Rica take place, and it is possible to have some rainy days.
