Does your daughter love horses? Then Kemur is the place for her this summer, because girls and horses are perfect combination! Kemur is an all girl equestrian camp where our main focus is on everything horses. Girls stay in one of two modern bunkhouses where friendships are quickly made and where the week flies by!

We welcome beginner to advanced level riders. Each girl gets suited to their own horse or pony to take care of for the week. Under the instruction of our caring and fun counselors, each camper learns new skills based on their previous horse experience. Riding is twice a day and the girls have hour long lessons in one of our hunter sand rings or indoor arena. Girls are always challenged yet safety is our main concern. Trail rides on over 250 picturesque acres are a highlight for all levels to enjoy the countryside and be one with their horse.

Each group level works on their skills throughout the week and look forward to a fun filled horseshow at the end of the week to show off their talents. Many of the beginner riders are amazed how quickly they advance in the sport in one week. The senior riders work on their hunter course throughout the week and horseshow day is one where the girls look forward to showing how they have adapted to their new mount.

After the horses are put away in the morning and evenings, girls are kept busy by cooling off in the pool, working on crafts or preparing a dance or skit to perform at the end of the week. The girls love to dress up as their favorite Kemur animal or show off their new dance moves on a wild Friday night! Campfires and whole camp games are a time when everyone can mingle together and let loose with the counselors that never seem to run out of energy or goofiness! Just wait until you see them during one of our dress up lunches!
