Kids Summer Cooking Camp: Global Favorites For five fun-filled days, our experienced chef instructors will walk young cooks through a world of hands-on culinary exploration. Designed specifically for kids, this class shows them just how much fun—and how easy—cooking delicious dishes can be. In addition to kitchen fundamentals like basic knife skills, how to follow recipes, measuring, mixing, and kitchen safety, we’ll show kids how to use an assortment of traditional kitchen tools and time-tested techniques from around the world as they learn to sauté, bake, stir-fry, roll their own sushi, and much more. Teens Cook: Culinary World Tour This summer, we’ll take your aspiring young chef on a culinary journey to faraway places and share the exotic flavors of an assortment of traditions. We’ll travel the world making authentic dishes from Mexico, France, Asia, and Italy as teens sharpen their cooking skills and master the fundamentals of cooking. For five fun-filled days, our experienced chef instructors will walk teens through kitchen fundamentals like basic knife skills, how to follow recipes, measuring, mixing, monitoring cooking temperatures and time—and perhaps most importantly—kitchen safety. Then, we’ll teach them a number of cooking methods, like sautéing, baking, rolling sushi, making fresh pasta dough and crepes, and much more as they prepare globally-inspired snacks, breakfasts, lunches, dinners and desserts. Kids Baking Basics: Delicious Desserts Mastering the fundamentals of baking helps develop creativity and provides kids with a foundation for a lifetime of fun in the kitchen. In this camp designed specifically for them, our experienced chef instructors will walk young bakers through five days of hands-on baking adventures. First, kids will learn kitchen fundamentals like how to follow recipes, measuring, mixing, monitoring cooking temperatures, and timing—and perhaps most importantly—kitchen safety. Then, we’ll teach them all about the wonderful world of baking, including the techniques professionals use to ensure jaw-dropping-delicious cakes, cookies, pies, tarts, breads and more. Teens Cook Dessert: Quick Treats to Fancy Sweets What better way to share the joys of cooking with teens than to teach them how fun and easy it is to prepare their own favorite dishes—desserts?! In this mini cooking school camp we’ll show teens how to bake with skill and confidence as they prepare a variety of globally inspired sweet treats like Turtle Brownies, Tiramisu, Malted Milk Ball Cookies, Cheesecake Ice Cream, and much more. For five fun-filled days, our experienced chef instructors will walk teens through kitchen fundamentals like how to follow recipes, measuring, mixing, monitoring cooking temperatures and timing—and perhaps most importantly—kitchen safety. Then, we’ll share time-honored techniques for a number of dishes, including how to work with pastry dough, making soufflés, pie dough from scratch, a delicious ice cream base that’s easy to flavor to your tastes, and more.
