DescriptionBack to top

Founded in 1996, Kroka Expeditions is an Earth Living Skills School dedicated to assisting young people in developing strong character, responsibility, community and a sense of place in harmony with nature. All of our programs offer sustainable community living experiences balanced with state of the art instruction in adventure sports and the ancient art of wilderness living.

Krokas summer programs are divided into four schools:

Wilderness Living School

The Wilderness Living School immerses students in a living history of our continent going backto pre-Columbus times. While learning lessons from the past, students explore their meaning as we search for ways to a sustainable future.

Rock Climbing and Caving School

Rock Climbing and Caving School offers state-of-the-art instruction in top rope and multi-pitch climbing, bouldering and cave exploration, while teaching the art of wilderness living.

White Water and Ocean Paddling School
White Water School
offers a unique sequential progression in kayak and tandem and solocanoe instruction, covering Class II IV river running, freestyle paddling, river rescue andexpeditioning. Ocean School offers surfing, windsurfing and coastal paddling instruction on Cape Cod and Maine. Both schools combine mastering adventure sports with the art of wilderness living.

Day School
A great place to start, our Day School offers fun and age-appropriate adventures to local children, ages 7 11.
