Lake Lindsey Equestrian Center
Summer Address:

We are a working horse farm, so campers will be included in all aspects of horse care and responsibility. Campers will participate in the feeding and grooming of many different types of horses – from our thoroughbred race horse mares and foals, to our Hanovarian jumpers, and everything in between. They will learn about horse nutrition, saddling, hoof care, and of course, riding! Our days will be filled with horse related activities geared toward developing horsemanship skills and accomplished riders. Campers will learn the basics of English and Western riding, and advanced riders will have the opportunity to participate in more advanced skills, such as jumping and competition riding. All campers will learn how to feed, groom, handle, wash, saddle & care for the horses they will ride. Riding lessons will be given to each child based on their individual riding ability, to help them develop balance, co-ordination and selfesteem. In case of rain, campers will participate in horsey arts and crafts, read books (about horses of course) or watch movies. They’ll also learn how to clean their saddles and equipment, learn the different parts of the horse, horse breeds and other interesting and useful information.
