Lake Valley Camp is currently looking for highly motivated and fun loving individuals for the upcoming summer.  LVC is a non-profit that provides a free summer camp experience to inner city youth out of Milwaukee.  A unique aspect of LVC is that our participants return year after year for up to 10 years and we have programming throughout the entire year for our participants and their families.

The Counselors play one of the most important roles at camp because they spend the better part of their day, directly working with our youth.  In each cabin, there are two counselors that supervise, 6-8 kids, ranging in ages from 9-14.

It is important that counselors are excellent role models, love working and having fun with kids, and able to maintain a positive attitude and high energy level.  Since the counselors have such a huge effect on the quality of experience for our participants, we really feel that hiring exceptional counselors and providing them with adequate time off, support and training is very important to our success as an organization.      

Candidates will be at least 18 years of age and have completed high school.  They also must have previous employment or volunteer experience working with kids.  In addition, they must possess the energy and stamina required to maintain continuous supervision of participants.  Previous employment or participant experience in a summer camp setting is preferred.
