LYPC offers children the opportunity to grow creatively in a professional theater setting. A non-residential day camp at Lakewood Theater, YPC is open to youth 8 - 18 years who want to learn theater craft from theater professionals. Every camper will perform in costume and make up before a set and an audience.
Campers will be instructed in acting, improvisaton, movement, stage make up, costuming set construction, voice, dance and auditioning. The program has been designed to teach children the importance of working together as a team, with emphasis on group activities that build skills in communication, decision-making, coping and physical mobility.
