We offer two China Summer Programs, each 3-4 weeks, this Jun-Aug 2008 in Beijing :

1) Chinese Language and Traditional Arts Program

  Session 1: 6/28-7/21     Session 2: 7/19-8/9

A program uniquely designed for young students 12-20 years old worldwide that combines Chinese language, traditional arts, travels, friendships and funs together to reach the goal of Chinese Immersion.

• 40 hours intensive Chinese class grouped by level and in small sizes
• on-1 partnership with local middle school students
• Arts classes to earn abilities to perform Erhu, Chinese Painting, Tie-Dye etc.
• Learn news photography and win ¡°China in my eyes¡± photo movie competition
• Visit museum, watch Beijing Opera, Facing/Masking Changing, Tea Art Performance, Acrobatic Shows, KunFu Shows.
   Tours and trips to Ancient capitals: Beijing, Xi'an, Luoyang. Visit
• Mongolia grassland trip for an Enhanced Enjoyable Time at the end of program!
• Parents or Teacher can accompany and take the language and arts classes for FREE! 

2) Youth Volunteer and Culture Program

  Session 1: 6/28-7/22     Session 2: 7/10-8/3

In addition to Chinese language, arts, travels, the program provides young students (age 14+) teaching opportunities in China, and help them get trained in Engish teaching

• Get 50 volunteer credits teaching in world-wide famous non-profit, non-governmental, independent organization International SOS Children's Villages China (Beijing, Tianjin or Qiqihar), and contribute your shares of LOVE to the abandoned, destitute and orphaned children.
• Get training on English teaching to get prepared before moving to SOS Village.
• Chinese language training in groups by levels and in small class sizes
• 1-on-1 partnership with local middle school students
• Tours and trips to Ancient capitals: Beijing, Xi'an, Luoyang. Visit
• Visit museum, watch Beijing Opera, Facing/Masking Changing, Tea Art Performance, Acrobatic Shows, KunFu Shows.
• Parents or Teacher can accompany and take the language and arts classes for FREE.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Featured Pinyin education for lifetime benefit on Chinese language study. Pinyin is a phonetic taught national wide in China. Only with pinyin, will you catch standard pronunciation and Chinese self-learning ability!
• Featured Art Classes: Er Hu, Chinese Painting, Tie-Dyeing, Martial Arts etc. Rather than simply enjoyed the time in the classes, students will truly grasp the basic skills of these arts and make performances: A student will be able to complete a masterpiece of brush painting, perform a complete music tune with Er Hu, design and make a Neck Scarf or T-shirt using Tie-Dyeing technique, etc. (see our video at website)
