MCT's Next Step Prep - The Academy for Musical Theatre offers a fun but intense six week summer training program designed specifically for aspiring young musical theatre performers. Accredited by the Northwest Accreditation Commission, Next Step includes daily classes in acting, singing, and dancing taught by certified teachers; weekly private lessons; and workshops with Broadway, film and television professionals. Next Step is for young performers entering grades 9-12 and high school grads seeking master class training. Practical, true triple threat training to prepare students for the "next step" on their path to a career in musical theatre. Next Step prides itself on being serious training for young adults -from beginning to already accomplished performers-yet it is also a warm welcoming environment in which students can grow, share interests and make life-long friends with other musical theatre students from around USA and the world. This is a safe learning environment where students can devote their full attention to their passions of acting, singing, and dancing. The confidence level of your student will soar - in direct relation to the skill level of your student reaching new heights in a very short time. On-site adult supervision provided.
