You may be asking yourself, "Why should I send my child to Camp Manidokan." We are well aware of the fact that you have hundreds of camps to choose from and that many of them offer special programs to help your child excel in academics, athletics, and other fields that may help them advance to the top of their circle. What makes us different? Two basic principles. First we offer a place where your child can just be a kid. There is no pressure to compete and no need to prove yourself. Manidokan is a place where a camper can have a fun and safe experience and feel a sense of relief from the pressure that everyday life tries to lay on them. Children have so much pressure on them from, yes parents, school, peers, coaches, just to name a few. What greater gift can you give your child than a week without any pressure, just to be a kid. Second, we offer an experience that grows the whole child. Campers don't have to worry about measuring up to others, rather they have a chance to just find out who they are. They learn more about the whole person, both inside and out, they learn to conquer fears, and better understand who they are and what really is important in life. And they just plain have a good time.

How do we do all this? Simply put, one word, Jesus! We offer a Christian environment where young people can experience the love of God through the awesomeness of God's creation, through the study of God's word, through times of prayer and reflection, and through joining with others in their faith walk. Because everything we do is in the context of this loving community campers learn and grow in ways that will sustain them for the rest of their lives. Campers find the God of the universe, who created all the neat things around them, who joins them in their play and prayer, and who gives them courage to take on new challenges, also wants to be a part of their lives everyday. Many campers return home as different young people, because Jesus Christ has entered their lives and life takes on new meaning and purpose. We are not just about making a child a better athlete or student, were about making them a better person in Jesus Christ.

Send your child to Manidokan for the best week of the summer and a new beginning for the rest of their lives.
