If you could plan the perfect family vacation, what would you include? You would want to make enduring family memories and have an abundance of activities for everyone in the family to enjoy, right? It would be a scenic area, full of interesting learning opportunities and unique wildlife. Meals would be provided…and prepared for you! Nights would be full of laughter and fun with planned campfires and skit/talent show nights. This perfect all-inclusive family vacation would also be affordable. Welcome to Family Camps at the Marine Science Consortium!
Family Camps at Marine Science Consortium are an awesome way for your family to get away, unwind, and enjoy a holiday weekend on the beautiful coastal islands of the Eastern Shore of Virginia! Spend time with your family on the gorgeous coast discovering and learning about the magnificent world of marine science. Family Campers will throw a trawl net and collect marine creatures on an ocean research vessel, explore marine habitats, kayak through tidal creeks, walk knee deep in marsh mud and enjoy the sun on a barrier island beach. Wild Ponies, Egrets and Horseshoe Crabs all await you! We currently offer two family camps over the Fourth of July and Labor Day holiday extended weekends.
