Outdoor Discovery Camp, for grades 1-2
An environmentally-oriented day camp with outdoor adventures, solo times, friendship, crafts, science activities, stories, and explorations. Two programs on two ecological themes are developed. Offered at the Montshire and at another local site. Several staff will also work two weeks with 3-4 graders. Lifesaving certification is required for two staff.
Environmental Camps, for grades 3-7
Two programs are offered. One program (3-4th graders) consists of daily adventures at different locations on the Montshire's property based on one major ecological theme. The other program (grades 4-7) consists of day trips to local natural areas with activities developed for each site. Lifeguarding certification required for one staff. Two staff must be 21 and have a valid driver's license.
Wind, Water and Sun for Grades 3-6
A camp focusing on physical science with children working on different investigations and design projects. Held indoors and out. Lifeguarding certification required for one staff.
