Combining the wild grandeur of the world's most famous and beloved mountain range with the European sophistication and storybook charm of traditional mountain villages, Moondance's Chamonix High Alps expedition is a 24-day adventure through the birthplace of alpine mountaineering. You'll learn the basic techniques of climbing among the very peaks where they were invented and walk across the rooftop of Europe on the classic Haute Route traverse from Chamonix, France to Zermatt, Switzerland. Perhaps no other Moondance trip offers so diverse a range of enriching experiences, from climbing the knife-edged ridge of the Breithorn above Zermatt to savoring the sidewalk cafes of Chamonix.
