2008 Morehead State University Summer Music Academy. Located on the campus of Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky, the Morehead State University Summer Music Academy is offering you a unique opportunity this summer in experiencing music. The Academy exists to nurture students’ developing musicianship in a setting which allows interaction with expert faculty and the opportunity to work with other students who share musical interests. You will receive private lessons, small ensemble coaching, music theory, and also be offered elective study in jazz improvisation, class keyboard and more. The Academy will feature recitals by faculty members with the Department of Music at Morehead State University and special guest artists. You will also have the opportunity to perform in student concerts. What makes this really a unique experience is the focus on you the individual musician and your development. If you want to improve your musicianship and interact with other students of music in study and recreational settings, the MSU Summer Music Academy is for you!
