What: a fun, discovery-based summer day camp for 7-11 year olds near Jericho Beach in Vancouver. 

Why: to learn new skills, explore new perspectives, and grow as individuals in an atmosphere of support, respect, friendship and fun! 

At Summer Jam we get outdoors and get creative as we explore our selves, our community and our environment -- while having tons of fun! Each day, a group of 18 participants and 5 exuberant staff engage in creative activities, group games, and collaborative projects. 

We practice communication, decision-making, cooperation and leadership skills, and enjoy the friendships that emerge along the way. 

From Concept to Clean-Up! 
We meet in a community Circle every morning to discuss possible activities for the day: games, theatre, arts, music, sports, science projects, what else can you think of? We choose activities that interest us, individually or in a group, and we discover how to put ideas into action, making decisions and being responsible for projects all along the way - from concept to clean-up! 

Love outdoors! 
We do! We spend lots of time outside in Jericho Park and on Jericho Beach. One day each week, everyone joins in a fun and safe hiking expedition in Vancouver's local mountains.
