DescriptionBack to top

Travel back in time and experience life in 19th-century New York City, using the museum's landmark building as a focal point. Participate in an array of hands-on activities, including historic crafts and games, behind-the-scenes tours, and scavenger hunts. Projects in the past have included churning old-fashioned ice cream, gardening, and journaling with quill and ink. Session One, for ages 9-12, will also feature a field trip to a local historic site. Session Two, for ages 6-8, is a half-day program, giving our youngest campers a chance to become history detectives.
